In the census of 31 March 1901 in Grace Hill, Much Dewchurch, Herefordshire, he was listed as aged 27 born in ? Caernarvonshire, a servant of Elizabeth FARR. He was the Farm Bailiff; a Farmer, living with her daughter 'Mariane' and visitor Annie Paske (sister). Also listed were four servants including Harry Gray SIMMS, the Farm Bailiff.3
Harry married Miriam Jane FARR, daughter of John FARR and Elizabeth PASKE, in 1902 in the Hereford registration district.4

     James Edgar FARR was born in 1876 in Monmouth, Monmouthshire.1,2 He was the son of John FARR and Elizabeth PASKE.1 He was baptised on 5 November 1876 in St. John the Baptist's Church, Llanrothal, Herefordshire.3,4
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Crack-o'-hill, Much Dewchurch, Herefordshire, he was listed as aged 4 born in Monmouth Monmouthshire, the son of John FARR.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 8 High Street, Woolwich, London, he was listed as a Grocers Assistant, aged 24 born in "Finstow" Monmouthshire, a Boarder of Susanna ROGER.5
James married his cousin Annie Helen PASKE, daughter of Amos PASKE and Jane PRICE, in 1904 in the West Ham registration district.6,7
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 354 Barking Road, Plaistow, London, James was listed as aged 34 born in Mormdale North Kansas USA, the Head of Household; a Grocer and Provision Assistant, living with his wife Annie, and their children John Austen, Marjorie, Eric, and Maurice. Also listed were two assistants, and a servant.8 At the time of James' death, James and Annie lived at 4 Cambridge Park, Wanstead, Essex.9
