In the census of 2 April 1871 in 2 Locomotive Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, he was listed as the son of John Herriott.1
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 St. Johns Passage, Boston, Lincolnshire, he was listed as the son of John Herriott.3,4 Removed to Lincoln Asylum, was recorded an inmate there in the 1891 census.5 Matthew died in 1895 in the Lincoln Registration District.2
