Monmouthshire is the location of the third main area for PASK and PASKE families.

The earliest progenitor in Monmouthshire is Isaac PASK born c1700. In the narratives section, the icon Related to Isaac Pask of Monmouthshire, Wales indicates Isaac's descendants. This includes his grandson Isaac PASK of Kilgwrrwg, who was baptised in September 1765 in Newchurch.

Descendancy charts for other Monmouthshire families are listed in the charts section. These include:

Philip PASK (1768-1843)

Isaac PASK (c1800- ) of Bryngwyn

James PASK (1794/8- ) of Kilgwrrwg

Clive Hill, a Pask researcher recently provided an interesting possibility of a connection between the Monmouthshire and the Suffolk PASKs:

Clive writes:
Elizabeth de Clare (1296..1360) appears to be a possible ancestor on my maternal side. During a recent visit to Clare (Suffolk) , I obtained a leaflet outlining the life of Elizabeth de Clare (Elizabeth de Burgh) by a local historian called David Hatton, describing Elizabeth's life at Clare Castle and at Usk Castle, and the 17 day journeys from Clare to Usk..."the centres of her two groups of estates". It may well have been that the Suffolk Pask(e)s were part of Elizabeth's entourage on these journeys. I was amazed when I looked at the locations of Pask(e)s in villages around Clare both on the Pask website and the LDS site....Hundon, Stoke by Clare, Long Melford,Glemsford, Belchamp Walter, Great Yeldham etc, and a similar distribution around Usk. It's all conjecture, but an interesting thought nevertheless!

Sincere thanks to co-researchers for contacting us and sharing their research, in particular Paula Payne, Clive Hill, Pat Maybrey, and Lynn Macdonald. Also many thanks to Mike John for providing extensive Monmouthshire parish records transcripts, that have helped significantly.

The Master Place Index details all people in all locations. To search for the country, city or town choose Edit > Find, and specify the location.
