Paul married Ernestine Lucille PASK, daughter of Gailey Smith PASK and Clara Ruth PETERS, on 30 June 1938 in Millville Methodist Church, Millville, Orleans County, New York State, USA.1,2,3
After Paul graduated from Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, he and Ernie together faithfully served the following Indiana Methodist churches: Hamilton, Richmond Trinity, Winchester, Noblesville First, Fort Wayne First, Portland Asbury, Munster Ridge, Rochester Grace, and Michigantown.2
Paul died on 25 August 2002 in Riverwalk Village, Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana, USA, at the age of 86.1,3
His funeral service was held at 11am at the First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument Street, Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana, USA, on 28 August 2002.3
His obituary read:
He was born March 22, 1916, in Bippus, Indiana, the son of James Francis and Etta (Barkley) Stephenson. He was a graduate of Taylor University, Upland and Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He married Ernestine Lucille Pask on June 30, 1938 in Millville, New York. The Rev. Stephenson was past president of the Kiwanis and host of the "Word and Music", a program broadcast from WOWO radio station in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Ann and Frank Maxwell of Lapel, and Claire Ann and Gary Smith of Portland, Indiana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Bruce Stephenson and Maria Schmidt of Bloomington, Indiana, and Philip James and Gerardine Stephenson of Mount Prospect, Illinois; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Calling will be 4-8pm on Tuesday at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, and also 10-11am on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, with funeral service following at 11am. The Revs. Jack Wolfe, Paul Kern, and Marcus Blaising will officiate. Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Foundation or the Riverview Hospital Foundation.3
He is buried with his wife Ernestine in Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana, USA.2,4
