     James PASKE was born on 2 February 1811 in Moulton, Suffolk.1,2,4,3 He was the son of Daniel PASKE and Sarah KENDALL.5,3,2 He was baptised on 10 March 1811 in Moulton, Suffolk.3 James joined the 10th Foot, and was listed as a deserter on 23 July 1834, 15 August 1835, and 14 December 1836 a Labourer from Moulton Suffolk.1,6 In the census of 6 June 1841, he was listed as a Labourer aged 30, a Patient in the Melton Lunatic Asylum, Melton, Suffolk.2,7 In the census of 30 March 1851, he was listed as a Pauper aged 40, a Patient in the Melton Lunatic Asylum, Melton, Suffolk.2,8 In the census of 7 April 1861, he was listed as a Solider, aged 49 born in Moulton, a Patient in the Melton Lunatic Asylum, Melton, Suffolk.4,2
James died in 1881 in the Woodbridge registration district.2

Research Note: In the 1871 and 1881 census, the Melton Lunatic Asylum listed all patients by their initials. Therefore it is difficult to determine whether James was still living in the Lunatic Asylum.9

     Thomas William HICKFORD was born on 28 April 1880 in Kedington, Suffolk.2,3,4 He was the son of William HICKFORD and Mary CALLOW.5
Thomas married Kate PASK, daughter of Alfred PASKE and Hannah HECKFORD, on 14 May 1910 in Sturmer, Essex. He was a Bachelor aged 30, a Horseman residing in Sturmer. His father was listed as William HICKFORD, a Labourer. The marriage was witnessed by George Norfolk, and Agnes May PASKE [Bride's Sister].6,7
In the census of 2 April 1911 in The Street, Sturmer, Essex, Thomas was listed as aged 30 born in Kedington, the Head of Household; a Carman, living with his wife Kate.2
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Thomas and his wife Kate, were listed as living in The Street, Halstead, Essex[. He was born on 28 April 1879], and his occupation was an Agricultural Labourer. Also listed was their daughter Elsie M. HICKFORD, later FARRANT.8
Thomas died on 17 November 1956 in Sturmer, Essex, at the age of 76.1,9
Thomas HICKFORD witnessed the death of Kate HICKFORD in 1958 in Sturmer, Essex.10,9
