Sophia married Oliver PASK, son of John PASK and Mary PASK, on 1 June 1832 in All Saints' Church, Wickhambrook, Suffolk.4,5
In the census of 7 June 1841 in Hargrave, Suffolk, she was aged 30, assumed to be the wife of Oliver PASK; a Gardener, assumed to be living with his wife Sophia, and children David, and Philip.6
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hargrave, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 39 born in Hargrave, the wife of Oliver PASK (living with his wife Sophia and children David, Phillip, Simeon, Nathan, Melinda, and Stephen.)2,7 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Hargrave, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 50 born in Hargrave, the daughter of John SUTTLE.8,9
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Wickhambrook Road, Hargrave, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 59 born in Hargrave, the wife of Oliver PASK (an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife Sophia, and their three sons John, Nathan, and Stephen. Also living with them was his wife's father John SUTTLE.)10,11
Sophia died in June 1874 in Hargrave, Suffolk.12,13 She was buried on 20 June 1874 in St. Edmund's Church, Hargrave, Suffolk.13,14

In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 St. Matthews Road, Ealing, Middlesex, she was listed as aged 31 born in Hayes, the wife of William PASK (a Greengrocer's Van Driver living with his wife Harriet, and children Oliver and Matilda. Also living with them was a lodger George THURGOOD, a widower aged 53 a House Painter born in Middlesex.)6
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 6 St. Matthews Road, Ealing, Middlesex, she was listed as aged 40 born in Hayes Middlesex, the wife of William PASK (a Carman, living with his wife Harriet, and children Oliver Henry, Gertrude, Maud, "Wm", and Walter). In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 8 born in Hargrave, the son of Oliver PASK.1,4 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 18 born in Hargrave, the grandson of John SUTTLE.5,3
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Highfield House, St. Nicholas Road, Streatham, Surrey, he was listed as a Gardener, a servant of the widow Frances Capern.6
Simeon married Emily Julia S. MORGAN in 1888 in the Brentford registration district.7,8
Simon was listed as a Gardener, aged 41 born in Hargrave, the Head of Household in the census of 5 April 1891 at 15 St. Matthew Road, Ealing, Middlesex, a Gardener, living with his wife Emily. Also living with them was two nieces Rosetta and "Melindred" PASK, and a visitor Elizabeth LEE aged 64.9 In the census of 31 March 1901 he was a neighbour of his brother Philip PASK.10

The marriage was witnessed by Nathan PASK [Brother], and Susannah PHILLIPS [Future Sister-in-Law]. She was a Spinster aged 22, residing at Hargrave.      Stephen PASK was born in February 1851 in Hargrave, Suffolk.1 He was the son of Oliver PASK and Sophia SUTTLE.1
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 2 months born in Hargrave, the son of Oliver PASK.1,2 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 10 born in Hargrave, the grandson of John SUTTLE.3,4
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Wickhambrook Road, Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as a Groom & Gardener aged 20 born in Hargrave, the son of Oliver PASK.5,6 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Sussex Lodge, Snailwell Road, Exning, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 26 born in Hargrave, a Groom and Gardener the servant of George H. OERRALL.7 Stephen was listed as aged 34, the Head of Household in the census of 5 April 1891 at Sussex Lodge Stables, Exning, Suffolk, a Groom and Coachman, living alone.8
Stephen married Anna Jane BASSETT on 5 December 1892 in Isleham, Suffolk. He was a Coachman, a Bachelor aged 41, residing at Newmarket. His father was listed as Oliver Pask, a Gardener. The marriage was witnessed by Charles Bassett and Kate R. Bridges.9,10
His wife, Anna, died in 1901 in the Mildenhall registration district.11 In the census of 31 March 1901 in High Street, Icklingham, Suffolk, Stephen was listed as a Widower aged 49 born in Hargrave, the Head of Household a Domestic Gardener, living with his brother Nathan, and his niece Lily PASK. Also listed is a visitor Hannah CLAYDON [née PASK - his first cousin, once removed] a widow aged 51 born in Hargrave.12
Stephen died in 1927 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.13

     Isabella BELL was born in 1841 in Bassenthwaite, Cumberland.2,3
Isabella's parents lived in Grasmere on a farm next to the famous huntsman John Peel. He was a ne'er do well who was always out hunting and drinking with his friends. His wife used to come to borrow bread to feed the children.4
Isabella married David PASK, son of Oliver PASK and Sophia SUTTLE, on 15 April 1869 in Grasmere, Westmorland.1
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Broom Close Cottage, Kendal, Westmorland, she was listed as aged 40 born in Bassenthwaite, the wife of David PASK (a Gardener, living with his wife Isabella, and children Oliver, and Ernest.)3
In the census of 5 April 1891 in Clifford House, Moortown Road, Shadwell, Yorkshire, she was listed as aged 50 born in Coldbrisk Cumberland, the wife of David PASK (a Market Gardener, living with his wife Isabella, and two sons Oliver, and Ernest. Also listed was his niece "Lilley" PASK, and nephew Phillip PLUMMER.)5
Isabella died on 13 December 1894 at Middlethorne House, Shadwell Lane, Moortown, Yorkshire.6,7
Isabella was buried on 14 December 1894 in St. Paul, Shadwell, Leeds, Yorkshire.8
Her estate was probated to David PASK on 3 January 1895 in Wakefield, Yorkshire.7
Her husband's, David, death was registered in 1922 in the Leeds registration district.9

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 3 Emville Avenue, Slade Hill, Moortown, Leeds, Yorkshire, Oliver was listed as aged 33 born in Grasmere Westmoreland, the Head of Household; a Nurseryman, living with his wife Alice Eva, and children Mary, John, and Grace. Also listed was Ethel NICHOLSON, a visitor (in fact the sister of Alice.)7
Oliver died in 1934 in the Leeds registration district.8
Oliver was buried on 25 August 1934 in St. Paul, Shadwell, Leeds, Yorkshire.9

Research Note: Avril wrote: "Oliver John caused a rift in the family as he promised the son who worked the hardest, the plant nursery. John David achieved that and his brother Ernest (I believe) was out in the cold."6

Frederick William PASK was born on 3 March 1873 in Hargrave, Suffolk.5,1,6 He was the son of Nathan Oliver PASK and Susannah PHILLIPS.5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in The Green, Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as aged 8 born in Hargrave, the son of Nathan PASK.5 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Allwood Green, Rickinghall Superior, Suffolk, he was listed as a Grocer's assistant aged 18 born in Hargrave, the son of Nathan PASK.7 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Hargrave, Suffolk, he was listed as a Grocers Assistant, aged 28 born in Hargrave, the nephew of Hewson Wray, a Grocer/Draper & Sub Postmaster.8
Frederick married Ellen Maud PHILLIPS in 1904 in the Newmarket registration district.2,9
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Hargrave, Suffolk, Frederick was listed as aged 38 born in Hargrave Suffolk, the Head of Household; a Carrier of passengers and parcels, Hargrave to Bury St. Edmunds, living with his wife Ellen Maud.10
At the time of his daughter Kathleen's birth registration on 14 June 1911, he was listed as a General Dealer.11

His wife, Ellen, died in 1931 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.15
He was in his daughter's wedding photograph taken in 1937.16
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Frederick was listed as living in Hargrave Post Office, Bury Road, Thingoe, Suffolk. He was Widowed born on 03 Mar 1873, and his occupation was a Grocer & Sub-Postmaster. He was living with his son Alec W., and daughter Laura I. Also listed was June JOHN.6


William was a local Methodist preacher for over 40 years. Also he was enterprising and ran the village shop, Post Office and took locals to Bury St. Edmunds on market days in his horse and "cart", and doing shopping to order for people. When he brought the goods the clients would give him a pack of cigarettes as a tip. Originally he did not smoke and would give the packs away but then he thought they are my tips so I will smoke them. Hence the name "Woodbine Willie".4,17,13
William was in a photograph taken circa 1945.13,18 William was also in a photograph taken with his brother Stephen Pask in 1945.13,19
Frederick died on 7 August 1949, at the age of 76, and his death was registered in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.20,13 He was buried in St. Edmund's Church, Hargrave, Suffolk. The inscription on his memorial is a biblical text "Let your light shine before men". Probably a reference to his life and work as a Methodist.13
An announcement regarding his property was detailed in the Bury Free Press, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk on 12 August 1949.21 It read:
Frederick William Pask, deceased
ALL persons having any claim against the Estate of FREDERICK WILLIAM PASK late of The Post Office Hargrave in the County of Suffolk Postmaster and Grocer deceased who died on the 7th day August 1949 are requested to send particulars thereof to us the undersigned and ail persons indebted to the said Estate are requested to pay the same to us forthwith. Dated this 12th day August 1949. BANKES ASHTON & CO.. Solicitors for the Executors. 61/62, Abbeygate Street, Bury St. Edmunds.21

His estate was probated to his daughters, Kathleen, and Laura, on 20 September 1949 in Ipswich Probate Registry, Ipswich, Suffolk.22

     Laura May PASK was born in 1875 in Hargrave, Suffolk.2,1 She was the daughter of Nathan Oliver PASK and Susannah PHILLIPS.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in The Green, Hargrave, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 6 born in Hargrave, the daughter of Nathan PASK.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Allwood Green, Rickinghall Superior, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 16 born in Hargrave, the daughter of Nathan PASK.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 69 Madeley Road, Ealing, Middlesex, she was listed as a Housemaid, aged 26 born in Hargrave Suffolk, the Servant of Arthur J. GRICE, a Leather Merchant.4
Laura married John James NASH in 1907 in the Mildenhall registration district.5,6
