     Laura Irene was always known as Nene (a shortening of her middle name Irene.)2
Laura Irene PASK was born on 29 May 1919 in Hargrave, Suffolk.3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Frederick William PASK and Ellen Maud PHILLIPS.3,2,7 She was in a photograph taken in 1920. The photograph is written on the back - Kathleen S. Pask age 9 years; Alec W. Pask age 3½; and Irene Pask age 1 year.8,9
She was in a photograph taken with her parents, and siblings circa 1926.10,9
Laura I. PASK was a Bridesmaid at the marriage of William G. HUNT and her sister Kathleen S. PASK in 1937 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.11,12,2,7 She was in a photograph taken at her sister's wedding.13
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Laura was living with her father in Hargrave Post Office, Bury Road, Thingoe, Suffolk. She was Single, born on 29 May 1919. Her occupation was a Housekeeper.5
Laura married Frank MORLEY in September 1945 in Hargrave Methodist Church, Hargrave, Suffolk. Frank did not want to marry Laura in the war, in case he was called up and killed.14,2,15,16,1,17 Photographs were taken of Laura and Frank on their wedding day.18,17
Her father, Frederick William PASK's estate was probated to her, and her sister Kathleen on 20 September 1949 in Ipswich Probate Registry, Ipswich, Suffolk.19


After Nene's father retired from running the village Post Office and store, Nene & Frank took over and ran it until they retired in the 1981. They then sold the shop and Post Office, and used the field that belonged to Nene's father to build their retirement bungalow "Orchard End" on. It was next door to the Methodist Chapel where Nene played the organ for many years.20,21,1
Laura died on 11 November 2006 in Hargrave, Suffolk, at the age of 87.20,1,6 She was buried in Hargrave Methodist Church, Hargrave, Suffolk.1

     Ellen Maud PHILLIPS was born in 1885 in Hargrave, Suffolk.3,4
Ellen married Frederick William PASK, son of Nathan Oliver PASK and Susannah PHILLIPS, in 1904 in the Newmarket registration district.5,6
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Hargrave, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 26 born in Hargrave Suffolk, the wife of Frederick William PASK (a Carrier of passengers and parcels, Hargrave to Bury St. Edmunds, living with his wife Ellen Maud.)3
Ellen was the informant of the birth of her daughter Kathleen Susannah PASK who as born on 7 May 1911 in Hargrave, Suffolk, and registered on 14 June 1911.7,8,9
Ellen was in a photograph with her husband Frederick (William), and eldest daughter Kathleen taken circa 1914.10,11

Kathleen was in several photographs taken when she was a child. The first was a photograph taken with her parents circa 1914.5,6 Another was taken circa 1915.7,6 Another was a photograph taken in 1920 with her brother and sister. The photograph is written on the back - Kathleen S. Pask age 9 years; Alec W. Pask age 3½; and Irene Pask age 1 year.8,6 She was also in a photograph taken with her parents, and siblings circa 1926.9,6
Kathleen married William G. HUNT in 1937 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.10,11,4,12 They had their photograph taken on their wedding day.13
Her father, Frederick William PASK's estate was probated to her, and her sister Laura, on 20 September 1949 in Ipswich Probate Registry, Ipswich, Suffolk.14

     Alec W. PASK was born on 21 October 1916, in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.1,2 He was the son of Frederick William PASK and Ellen Maud PHILLIPS.1,3
Alec was in a photograph taken on 1920 . The photograph is written on the back - Kathleen S. Pask age 9 years; Alec W. Pask age 3½; and Irene Pask age 1 year.4,5 Alec was in another photograph on his own, taken in 1920.5,6
He was in a photograph taken with his parents, and siblings circa 1926.7,5
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Alec was living with his father in Hargrave Post Office, Bury Road, Thingoe, Suffolk. He was Single, and born on 21 Oct 1916, he was listed as incapacitated.2


Alec was perfect as a small child, but developed a benign tumour, that disfigured his face & body greatly. It was a similar growth to the "Elephant Man". Nevertheless, he was well loved, and the children in the village were never afraid of his appearance.
Alec lived at the village post office all his life. He died in the Norwich District because he was having his first operation to reduce the size of his growth. For years the doctor had told him they should not operate because it was dangerous but one day they changed their minds and said it was getting big and should be operated on.8,5
Alec died in 1960 in the Norwich registration district.9

     Adelaide Esther PASKE was born in 1886 in Bristol, Gloucestershire.1 She was the daughter of Charles PASKE and Adelaide MIDDLETON.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 3 County Cottages, Bedminster, Somerset, she was listed as aged 4 born in Bristol, the daughter of Charles PASKE.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 in St. Silas Pottery, Bristol, Gloucestershire, she was listed as aged 15 born in Bristol Gloucestershire, a Visitor of John THOMAS. She was in fact his sister-in-law.3
Adelaide married Alfred T. BOLTON in 1910 in the Cardiff registration district.4,5
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 10 Grosvenor Road, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, she was listed in the household of her brother-in-law, Harry PARKER. She was aged 26 born in Bristol married 4 months with no children. Her husband was not listed.6
Adelaide and Alfred T. BOLTON immigrated to Australia.4
Adelaide died in 1956 in Australia.4

     Peter William PASK was born on 2 April 1907 in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire.1,2,3 He was the son of George Thomas PASK and Margaret Elizabeth LIDDLE.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Kingston Blount, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, he was listed as aged 4 born in Haddenham Buckinghamshire, the son of George PASK.3
Peter married Ethel M. STEPHENS in 1935 in the Pembroke registration district.4
Peter was killed in action on 14 June 1944, fighting in World War I in Bayeux, France, at the age of 37.5,6 Peter is commemorated in perpetuity in Grave X. M. 9, Bayeux War Cemetery, Bayeux, France. He was a Sergeant in the Royal Engineers in 66 Field Company (Service No. 1865324.)5

     Margaret Ann PASK was born on 27 January 1910 in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire.1,2,3 She was the daughter of George Thomas PASK and Margaret Elizabeth LIDDLE.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Kingston Blount, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, she was listed as aged 1 born in Stokenchurch Buckinghamshire, the daughter of George PASK.3
Margaret died in 15 February 1916 in the Devonport registration district aged 6.4,1

Her husband, Peter, was killed in action in WWII on 14 June 1944 in Bayeux, France, at the age of 37.2,3
