     Hephzibah was also known as Hephzibah PAYSK.2
Hephzibah PASK was born on 15 September 1811 in Stambourne, Essex.1,2 She was the daughter of Philip PASK and Elizabeth BARNARD.2 She was baptised on 29 September 1811 in Stambourne, Essex.2
Hephzibah married Ephraim TYLER on 2 May 1830 in Great Maplestead, Essex. The marriage was witnessed by John GARROD and Sarah FRENCH.1,3
Her husband, Ephraim, was convicted in Chelmsford Essex on 23 July 1832 of Housebreaking, and sentenced to Life. He was transported on the 'Andromeda', departing on 13 November 1832, arriving in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia on 11 March 1833.
Apparently, Hephizabah could have Ephraim declared dead after seven years from the date of his transportation. However, she remarried six years, and three months after his arrest;
He is described as 5ft 2 and a half inches tall, dark ruddy complexion, dark brown hair, chestnut eyes, mole on lower right arm, scar back of top of middle finger of left hand.4,5,6,7,8,9
Hephzibah married William HOSTLER on 28 August 1838 in All Saints' Church, Sudbury, Suffolk.10,11
In the census of 6 June 1841 in Box Mill Lane, Halstead, Essex, she was listed as aged 30 born in Essex, assumed to be the wife of William HOSTLER (a Weaver, assumed to be living with his wife Hephizibah, and their children William, Thomas, James, Emma, and Susannah.)12
She was listed in the census of 30 March 1851 at Box Mill Lane, Halstead, Essex, a Silk Weaver, living with his wife Hephizibah, and children Emma (his daughter from previous marrage), Susanna, Sarah, Shadrach, and George. Also listed was James TYLER, his son-in-law (step-son), and his mother-in-law Elizabeth PASK.13
In the census of 7 April 1861 in Box Mill Lane, Halstead, Essex, Hephzibah was listed as Hephsibah Hosley, married aged 49 born in Stambourne, the Head of Household; a Straw Plaiter, living with her children Sarah, Shadrach, George, and Arthur William. Her husband William was boarding in Haverhill, Suffolk.14
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Box Mill Lane, Halstead, Essex, she was listed as a Silk Weaver aged 59 born in Stambourne, the wife of William HOSLER (a Silk Weaver, living with his wife Hephzibah and their children Shadrach, George, and Arthur.)15
Her husband's, William, death was registered in 1878 in the Halstead registration district.16
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Trinity Road, Halstead, Essex, she was listed as a Charwoman, aged 69 born in Stambourne, the mother-in-law of John SPURGEON.17
Her first husband, Ephraim, died on 5 January 1890 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 79.1,18,19
Hephzibah died in 1895 in the Halstead registration district.20

     Ephraim TYLER was baptised on 15 July 1810 in Great Maplestead, Essex. He was the son of William & Elizabeth TYLER née BRAY.2,3,4
Ephraim married Hephzibah PASK, daughter of Philip PASK and Elizabeth BARNARD, on 2 May 1830 in Great Maplestead, Essex. The marriage was witnessed by John GARROD and Sarah FRENCH.1,5
An incident relating to him was reported in the Essex Standard, Chelmsford, Essex on 2 June 1832, it read:
On Saturday night, the 26th ult. between 9 and 11 o’clock, the cottage of a labourer, named Brown, living at Great Maplestead, was broken into, and a quantity of flour and wearing apparel stolen. Owing to the active exertions of Johnson, the Halsted constable, Ephraim Taylor was apprehended the following morning on suspicion of the burglary. On Monday, he was examined before J. P. EIwes, Esq., and fully committed for trial. Tyler, it appears, was tried at the last February Adjourned Session, for a robbery, and acquitted.6

The records state that he broke into the house of Thomas Brown at Great Maplestead and stole "two scarves valued at three shillings, two bushels of flour of the value of twenty shillings, one sack of the value of three shillings, one pair gloves of the value of four pence, two hankerchiefs of the value of two shillings, one pair of stockings of the value of six pence, one bracelet of the value of four pence, one cravat of the value of four pence, one shawl of the value of two shillings, one yard of ribbon of the value of two pence." He was sentenced to death but this was commuted to transportation for life.5
His conviction of burglary was reported in the Chelmsford Chronicle, Chelmsford, Essex on 27 July 1832, it read:
Ephraim Tyler, 35, was convicted of breaking into the house of Thomas Brown, Great Maplestead, and stealing a quantity of flour and several articles of wearing apparel.- Death recorded.7

Ephraim, after being convicted in Chelmsford Essex on 23 July 1832 of Housebreaking, and sentenced to Life, was transported on the 'Andromeda', departing on 13 November 1832, arriving in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia on 11 March 1833.

Ephraim married Eliza COCK on 24 December 1856 the Church of Scotland, Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. They had eight children - Elizabeth, William Ephraim, James Walter, Alice, George William, and Edward Thomas, Sophia Jane, and Ada.1,5,4
Ephraim died on 5 January 1890 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 79.1,14,15
His wife's, Hephzibah, death was registered in 1895 in the Halstead registration district.16 His second wife, Eliza, died on 30 November 1920 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.5,17

Thomas TYLER was born in 1830 in Great Maplestead, Essex.1,3 He was the son of Ephraim TYLER and Hephzibah PASK.1
In the census of 6 June 1841 in Box Mill Lane, Halstead, Essex, he was aged 10 born in Essex, assumed to be the step-son of William HOSTLER.2
Thomas married Sarah GALLIPONT on 18 November 1849 in Halstead, Essex. He was aged 19, and his father was listed as Ephraim TYLER.4,5
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hedingham Lane, Halstead, Essex, Thomas was listed as aged 21 born in Great Maplestead, the Head of Household; a Labourer, living with his wife Sarah, and their infant daughter Emily. A close neighbour was Sarah GALLEFENT, a Widow aged 46 - believed to be his wife's mother.3

Charles married Elizabeth PASKE née ? circa 1748.3
As of circa 1759, Charles and Elizabeth lived at Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.4
His wife, Elizabeth, died on 19 February 1768 in Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.1
Charles made a will dated 26 December 1795 in Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire. In his will he made his daughter Mary the Executor. He also mentioned his daughter Patience, wife of James Lewis, and his daughter Elizabeth of the City of Bristol.5
Charles died on 3 November 1806 in Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.1
His estate was probated to Mary PASKE on 14 April 1807 in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.6,5 Charles and Elizabeth are buried in St. Catwyg, Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.      Charles PASKE was born in 1760.1 He was the son of Charles PASKE and Jane COWCUM.2,3 Charles PASKE was baptised on 2 December 1762 in Dingestow, Monmouthshire.2,1
Charles married Esther EDWARDS on 27 May 1789 in St. Isan, Llanishen, Monmouthshire. He was residing at Llanishen.4,5,6,7
His wife, Esther, died on 13 April 1821 in Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.8,9,10
After the death of his wife Esther, Charles made a will dated 18 December 1822 in Dingestow, Monmouthshire. He named as beneficiaries his daughters Mary, and Elizabeth, and his sons Charles, and John. He appointed Charles his Executor.11
Charles died on 8 January 1833 in Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.10,9,1 Charles was buried on 11 January 1833 in St. Catwyg, Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.1,12 Charles was buried on 11 January 1833 in St. Catwyg, Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire.
Charles & Esther's grave is inscribed:
"Sacred to the Memory of Esther wife of Charles Paske of the parish of Dingestow who died 15 April 1821 aged 54 years
Also To the Memory of Charles Paske Widower of the aforesaid who departed this life 8th day of Jan A.D. 1833 aged 73."1,10

His estate was probated in 1833 in Llandaff, Glamorganshire.13

She was named as a beneficiary in her uncle's, Charles PASKE, will made on 27 December 1819.3,4,5,6
She was named as a beneficiary in her father's, William PASKE, will dated 25 March 1825.7
Her father's, William PASKE, estate was probated to her on 13 May 1829 in Usk, Monmouthshire.8,7,9
Patience married Edward RICHARDS on 10 June 1829 in Cwmcarn, Monmouthshire. She was a spinster of the parish. The marriage was by license, and witnessed by Thomas BALLINGER?, and Walter JENKINS.10,11
Patience died in 1849 in the Monmouth registration district.12
Patience was buried on 3 July 1849 in St. Catwyg, Cwmcarvan, Monmouthshire, at the age of 66.13
