Edward died before 1911; He was a Cook.2

Research Note: Edward or Edwin, & George, or Robert John Pask are assumed to be the same person. This assumption is on the basis that his wife Mary Ann Pask née Stroud was born in Wantage, Berkshire and her age, and place of birth is consistent in the 1851-1901 censuses. Additionally, they had two children Annie Lydia (born 1877), and Edward Thomas (1880). These children were living with them in the 1881 census - when he was known as Edward, and in the 1891 census, when he was known as George. Although his age, and place of birth is not consistent, this differs in all the 1881-1901 census.16

They travelled together with their son Arthur, and their daughter Mary Ann, and son-in-law James Walter DEAN and their two grand-children George DEAN, and Edith Mary DEAN.13 The house that James and Charlottle lived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is still standing - Raymond Pask's cousin lives in it now. It was near the factory that James came out to manage (for Tuck & Co). He then bought it and it functioned for years as Tucks. Sadly it dealt with asbestos and 3 of his sons, including Raymond's father George died of asbestosis.14

Charlotte Mary CHAFFIN1

#847, b. 1845, d. 1913
Last Edited=30 Dec 2014
Charlotte Mary CHAFFIN was born in 1845 in Lambeth, London. Her father was William Ellis CHAFFIN, a painter, and her mother was Mary Ann.1,2,3
Charlotte married James PASK, son of George Henry PASK and Maria BROWNING, on 24 April 1864 in St. John the Evangelist Church, Waterloo Road, Lambeth, London. She was a Spinster of minor age, residing at Waterloo Road. Her father was listed as William Ellis CHAFFIN, a Painter. The marriage was by Banns, and witnessed by William HALL and Ann CHAFFIN.4,1,5,2,6 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Southwark, London, she was listed as aged 26 born in Southwark, Surrey the wife of James PASK; a Warehouseman living with his wife, two sons and a daughter.7
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 11 Farnham Royal, Lambeth, London, she was listed as the wife of James PASK; an India Rubber Warehouseman, living with his wife, five sons and two daughters.1,2
Charlotte and James immigrated on the ship "Oroya" departing from London on 14 April 1899, for Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. They travelled together with their son Arthur, and their daughter Mary Ann, and son-in-law James Walter DEAN and their two grand-children George DEAN, and Edith Mary DEAN.8 The house that James and Charlottle lived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is still standing - Raymond Pask's cousin lives in it now. It was near the factory that James came out to manage (for Tuck & Co). He then bought it and it functioned for years as Tucks. Sadly it dealt with asbestos and 3 of his sons, including Raymond's father George died of asbestosis.9
Charlotte died in 1913 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.10,3
Her husband, James, died in 1924 in Kew, Victoria, Australia.11,12

Research Note: There is some descrepancy on her parents - her death certificates shows James CHAFFIN, and Charlotte Mary McDONALD. However, her marriage certificate gives William Ellis Chaffin, a Painter.3,4
