Edward died in 1848, leaving Sarah with three children, of which one, Edward, was born posthumously.² Her married name was Sarah SPRIGGS.²

Charles died on 13 November 1917 in 13 Whittaker Street, Sloane Square, London, at the age of 41. He joined the WWI effort in October 1917, and, attached to the A.P.C., did good work at Woolwich. On 13 November 1917, only six weeks after his enlistment, he died of a heart attack, brought about by the bursting of a blood vessel whilst raising a heavy weight during an air raid.^1,10,11
