Ada married George William PASK, son of Walter PASK and Rosetta RIXON, on 17 August 1913 in St. James The Great, Bethnal Green, London. She was a Spinster aged 24, a Christmas Card Maker, residing at 24 Connor Street. Her father was listed as Henry John PLATTS, a Boot Maker. The marriage was witnessed by Richard Charles JONES, and Susan Elizabeth PLATTS.8,9,2,10,11
Her husband, George, died on 12 October 1917 in Passchendaele, Ypres, Belgium, at the age of 28. The notification of George's death was followed by a telegram dated the 15th November 1917 stating 'report now received notifying wounded' and a letter the following day stating 'the first notification was incorrectly reported. Trusting this has not caused you any unnecessary pain. A further letter dated the 4th February 1918 basically stated 'sorry, we were right first time'. It's no wonder that, after this experience, his wife Ada became such a formidable lady.
