In approximately 1898, Robert met his long-term partner Gertrude Alice BARNES. Robert met Gertrude through his sister, who was in service with her, and she made the arrangments for them to have there first date in 1897.5,6
In the census of 31 March 1901 in East End, Great Ringstead, Norfolk, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer, aged 26 born in Frieston Lincolnshire, the son-in-law of John NOBES [Gertrude's stepfather]. Robert, was living together with his wife Gertrude A., and children Marie G., and Maud L.1,5
During the next few years their name changed from PASS to PASK. This was probably due to the children starting school and learning to write their name.7
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Little Witchingham, Norfolk, Robert was listed as aged 36, born in Bayard Leap Lincolnshire, the Head of Household; He was a Teaman on the Farm, living with his wife Gertrude, and children Maria, Maud Lilian, Mary Alice, Robert, Florence, Ethel, and Gladys May. Also listed was his mother [mother-in-law] Jane NOBES.8
During the war years (1939-46), together with their daughter Sylvia, they moved to Scarborough.9
Robert died in 1946 in the Scarborough registration district.2

Robert met Gertrude through his sister, who was in service with her, and she made the arrangments for them to have there first date in 1897.1,7 She was the informant of the registration of the birth of her daughter Maria Gertrude PASS who was born on 31 August 1899 at Kelby, Lincolnshire.2,8,9,6
In the census of 31 March 1901 in East End, Great Ringstead, Norfolk, she was listed as aged 21 born in Burnham Norton, the daughter of John NOBES and his wife Jane M. NOBES [her mother and stepfather], together with her husband Robert, and their children Marie G., and Maud L.2,1
During the next few years their name changed from PASS to PASK. This was probably due to the children starting school and learning to write their name.10 Gertrude was the informant of the registration of the birth of her daughter Florence Eveline Pask BARNES who was born on 15 November 1905 at Weasenham, Norfolk. Also listed was his mother [mother-in-law] Jane NOBES.)6
