     Charles William SMITH was born on 20 May 1896 in 6 Uronhill Street, Toxteth Park, Lancashire. He was the son of Charles SMITH, and Eleanor CALLIS.2,3
Charles married Mary Lilian MAGUIRE, daughter of William Henry MAGUIRE and Mary Isabella PASK, on 26 December 1925 in St. Marks Church, Edmonton, Middlesex.1,3,4 Mary & Charles lived in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.1 He was a Railway clerk, and later worked with Hertfordshire County Council.2
Charles died in 1982 in the Hatfield registration district; He died of Parkinsons disease, although there was no evidence of it whilst living.2,3

     Olive Muriel SMITH was born on 3 November 1931 in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Charles William SMITH and Mary Lilian MAGUIRE.1 In 1957 Olive worked for the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.3
Olive married Philip Anthony HORTON on 30 June 1962 in St. Michael & All Angels, Bishops Hatfield, Hertfordshire.4,3
Olive was Olive worked as a part-time secretary for an Architect whilst her daughters were growing up.3
Olive died of Liver Cancer on 8 September 1990 in Dorothy House, Bath, Somerset, at the age of 58.1,3
