Walford married Emily Catharine BRIDGE, daughter of James BRIDGE and Emily Jane GREENWOOD, on 1 May 1883 in St. John of Jerusalem, Hackney, London. He was a Bachelor aged 25, a Clerk at the Stock Exchange, residing at 29 Shore Road, South Hackney. His father was listed as Charles BENHAM, a Gentleman. The marriage was witnessed by J. Campbell BRIDGE, James BRIDGE, and Annie Grace WILKES.5,1
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 29 Shore Road, Hackney, London, Walford was listed as aged 32 born in Bawdsey Suffolk, the Head of Household; a Stock Jobber, living with his wife Emily Catherine, and their children Gilbert Greenwood, and Leslie Vernon.      Gilbert Greenwood BENHAM was born in 1887 in Hackney, London.1,2 He was the son of Walford Mozart BENHAM and Emily Catharine BRIDGE.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 29 Shore Road, Hackney, London, he was listed as aged 4 born in Hackney, the son of Walford Mozart BENHAM.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 he was listed together with his brother, as a pupil aged 14 born in South Hackney, at West Cliff School, St. Mildred Road, Thanet, Kent.3
Gilbert married Sarah Florence BRIDGE, daughter of Henry BRIDGE and Sarah BLACKFORD, in 1910 in the West Ham registration district. They were first cousins, once removed.4
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 22 Osborne Road, Winton, Bournemouth, Dorset, Gilbert was listed as the Head of Household; a Partner & Secretary to Insurance Broker, living with his wife Sarah Florence.5
He was mentioned in his brother's death notice in the Essex Newsman, Chelmsford, Essex on 20 September 1913.6
His father's, Walford Mozart BENHAM, estate was probated to him on 25 March 1915 in London.7,8
Gilbert served in World War I . He was a Gunner (No. 91423) in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He enlisted on 31 May 1916 in Bournemouth, and served in Malta from 3 November 1916 to 6 March 1917. On 11 April 1917 he was discharged as no longer physically fit for war service. He suffered from Neurasthenia, and subsequently whilst serving in Malta had a nervous breakdown.9
In his military record, he was described as 5 feet 10½ inches, with a fresh complexion, blue eyes, and dark brown hair.9
On his discharge from the Army, he lived at 87 Howard Road, Walthamstow, Essex.9
His wife, Sarah, died on 19 September 1924 in Church Lodge, Wood Street, Barnet, Middlesex.10,11
Gilbert married Agnes M. LAURIE in 1925 in the Barnet registration district.12
His wife, Agnes, died in 1958 in the Isle of Wight registration district.13
Gilbert died in 1961 in the Hastings registration district.14

REFLECTORS FOR CYCLES.
We regret to announce a sad bereavement which has befallen Mr. Walter M. Benham, of the Stock Exchange, formerly a most respected resident of Marlesford, and Westcliff, and a prominent member of the East Anglian Society, by the death of his younger son, Leslie Vernon. Which occurred as a result of a motor cycle accident on the 13th inst. at the early age of 23.4

His estate was probated to Walford Mozart BENHAM on 21 October 1913 in London.5

     Edna PASK was born on 1 March 1904 in Eaton, Nottinghamshire. She was the daughter of George & Ada MARKHAM, a Groom.2,3,4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in East Retford, Nottinghamshire, she was listed as aged 7 born in Eaton. Their parents, were George & Ada MARKHAM, who had been married 12 years, and had seven children - Irene, Edith, Lesley, Edna, Tom, Annie, and Alice.4
Edna married George Henry Cassan PASK, son of John William PASK and Sarah Jane CASSAN, in 1929 in the East Retford registration district. Earlier in 1923, Edna's sister Edith, married George's brother Charles.1,5
Her husband, George, died in 1953 in the East Retford registration district.6
At the time of her death, Edna lived at Holme Lea, Holme Lane, Rockley, Retford, Nottinghamshire.7
Edna died on 20 October 1995, at the age of 91, and her death was registered in the East Retford registration district.2,7
Her estate was probated on 27 November 1995 at the Leeds Probate Registry, Leeds, Yorkshire.7
