     Doris Louise HERBERT was the only child of Edward and Euphemia CROCOCK née RIDDELL. She was unexpected but was a healthy baby.1
Doris married Lawrence John HERBERT, son of John Trevor HERBERT and Beatrice Alma MARKHAM, on 28 June 1939 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Audrey HERBERT was bridesmaid and Earnest CROCOCK was best man. The reception was held at the bride's parent's home in 50 Lawrence Street. The honeymoon was taken in Toronto and points east.1

John married Elizabeth Matilda LAKE, daughter of Frederick LAKE and Mary Ann PASK, on 30 September 1916 in Fulham, London.1
John was in a family photograph taken in 1918, of John William & Elizabeth Hodge née Lake, and their young son John William Charles Hodge.2
John was a Electric Railway Motorman.1 In 1938, a photograph was taken of John and Elizabeth enjoying themselves at the seaside.3 John died after a long illlness on 19 October 1941 at the age of 47.1 He was buried in Vicarage Road, Watford, Hertfordshire.1

Phyllis married Harold Graham STREET in December 1949 in Watford, Hertfordshire.2 Prior to her death in 1998, Phyllis Ivy Virginia and Harold Graham lived at 1 Stonebridge Road, Lighthorne Heath, Warwickshire.1
Phyllis died on 13 August 1998 in Warwick Hospital, Warwick, Warwickshire, at the age of 77.2,1

John William Charles Hodge (1916-1973)
     John William Charles HODGE was born on 2 November 1916 in Fulham, London.1 He was the son of John William HODGE and Elizabeth Matilda LAKE.1 John was in a family photograph taken in 1918, of John William & Elizabeth Hodge née Lake, and their young son John William Charles Hodge.2
John married Kathleen Joan CHASE on 9 February 1935 in Watford, Hertfordshire. They had 5 sons and 5 daughters.1
John died on 4 May 1973 in Marylebone, London, at the age of 56.1 John was cremated in May 1973 in High Elm Lane, Gaston, Watford, Hertfordshire.1

Kathleen died on 18 April 1988 in Ely, Cambridgeshire, at the age of 69.1
