The wedding took place at the Parish Church of St. John, Maindee, of Mr. William Passmore and Miss Rita Radford. The ceremony was performed by the Vicar of Maindee, the Rev. E.G.R. Picton.
The bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr. William Passmore, a member of Newport Fire Brigade, and Mrs Mary Passmore. The best man was Mr. W. A. Tobitt, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
The bride, who was charmingly attired in a full-length dress of white satin georgette, carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and white heather. Miss Vina Knight, the bridesmaid wore a dress of blue satin.
The bridal reception and luncheon took place at Sweeting's Café.
The honeymoon is being spent at The Mumbles. Mr. and Mrs. Passmore will reside in Swansea.5
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, William was listed as living at 102 Glyndn Street, Swansea, Glamorganshire. He was born on 4 December 1911, and his occupation was a Heavy Motor Transport Driver.4,6
