Gordon Reginald PASK1

#1238, b. 23 January 1899, d. 9 January 1968
Last Edited=4 Sep 2017
Gordon Reginald Pask R.A.F.
(1899-1968) c1919
Gordon Reginald PASK was born on 23 January 1899 in Reepham, Norfolk.2,1,3 He was the son of William Alfred PASK II and Annie Sarah ROWE.2
He was named "Gordon" after General Charles George Gordon, the British hero who was murdered at Khartoum in 1885.3
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Market Place, Hackford by Reepham, Norfolk, he was listed as the son of William Alfred PASK II.2
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Back Street, Hackford by Reepham, Norfolk, he was listed as aged 12 born in Hackford, the son of William Alfred PASK II.4,5,6
Prior to military service in World War I, Gordon was a Post Office Mail Sorter on the trains.3 He then enrolled in the Gloucestershire Regiment and was wounded in Northern France, probably in 1917. After recovery and rehabilitation, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps (later the Royal Air Force) until the end of hostilities.
Due to his wound, he was unable to return to the Post Office as a Mail Sorter, so his father apprenticed him to his brother William Alfred III in Aylsham, Norfolk to become a tailor like his four older brothers.3,7
He and his brothers are included in the 1919 Roll of Honour in the Chancel of St. Michael & All Angels Church, Whitewell, Norfolk, referring to those who served in WWI, from the Reepham area, Norfolk.7 Following completion of his apprenticeship, Gordon is believed to have moved to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire where his older brother, Charles Randolph was residing and where, in 1925, Gordon was hospitalised. Whilst in hospital, he met Eileen Norah Morgan, who was a nurse at the hospital.3
Gordon married Eileen Norah MORGAN on 12 November 1927 in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.8,9,3 They then move to Beaconsfield, where Gordon was employed as a Tailor until his retirement.3
During World War II, Gordon served with the local A.R.P. as an Air Raid Warden.3
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Gordon and his wife Eileen, were listed as living in Marison Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. He was born on 23 January 1899, and his occupation was a Tailor. There were two redacted entries, assumed to be their sons Trevor, and Geoffrey.10

At the time of his death, Gordon lived at 6 Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.11
Gordon died on 9 January 1968 in Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea, London, at the age of 68.8,12,3,11 He was buried in Holtspur Cemetery, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.3
His estate was probated on 26 January 1968 in Oxford, Oxfordshire.11

Several photographs of Gordon are included in an electronic photograph album https://goo.gl/photos/5sAz5mFMkYjQuanW7.13,3
