     Thirza RIDOUT was born in 1863 in Sturminster, Dorset. She was the daughter of Joseph & Ellen Eleanor RIDOUT née PEARCY.1,3,4
Thirza married Jeremiah KING on 4 December 1882 in Sturminster, Dorset. She was a Spinster aged 20 residing at Sturminster Newton. Her father was listed as Joseph RIDOUT, a Labourer. The wedding was witnessed by A. RIDOUT, and H. RIDOUT (relatives of the bride.)5,6,7 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 2 Forge Hammer Row, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 26, born in Newport, the wife of Thomas PASK; a Labourer, living with his wife Thirza, his brother John, his daughter [step-daughter] Lily, and son John. Also listed was a boarder George POPE.8
Thirza married Thomas PASKE, son of William PASK and Mary Ann DAVIES, in 1892 in the Pontypool registration district.1,9
In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 38 born in Sturminster Dorsetshire, the wife of Thomas PASK (a General Labourer at the Iron Works, living with his wife Thirza and children Lillie, John Hy., Florence E., Mary A., Thomas, Ellen, and William A. Also listed were seven boarders, including his cousin Frederick PASK, Herbert RIDOUT, and Sidney STRANGE.)1 She witnessed the marriage of her brother-in-law John Leonard PASK and Lucy DUNFORD on 26 November 1904 in Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire.10,11
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 4 Spring Street, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 47 born in Dorsetshire, married 21 years with 8 children 6 living 2 dead, the wife of Thomas PASK (a Labourer at the Iron Works, living with his wife Thirza and children Mary, Thomas, Ellen, William, and Frederick. Also listed were three boarders, including John KING.)12
Thirza died in 1934 in the Newport registration district.13

Research Note: Mike Strange's website details Probate records for the surname STRANGE, including "Sidney Strange of 4 Spring-street Cwmbran Monmouthshire labourer died 16 April 1906. Probate Llandaff 30 April to Thirza Pask (wife of Thomas Pask). Effects £28.7s." Unsure what the connection is between Thirza and Sidney - however in the 1901 census Sidney was a Boarder of Thomas & Thirza.14,15

     Lily Maria KING was born in 1883 in Sturminster, Dorset.2 She was the daughter of Jeremiah KING and Thirza RIDOUT.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 2 Forge Hammer Row, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 7, born in Newport, the daughter of Thomas PASK.3
Lily married Frederick PASK, son of John PASK and Jane PASK née ?, on 24 December 1900 in Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire,She was a Spinster, aged 18 residing at 4 Sprint Street. Her father was listed as Jeremiah KING, Dead. Lily was the daughter of Thirza PASK, formerly KING née RIDOUT, the second wife of Frderick's 1st cousin Thomas PASK. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas PASK (Step-father of the bride), and Alice WATKINS.4,5,1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as married, aged 18 born in Sturminster Dorset, the [step] daughter of Thomas PASK. Her husband Frederick was listed in the same household as a Boarder.2
On 8 September 1907, at the time of the baptism of their daughter Lily Maria PASK, Lily and Frederick lived in 2 Sally Bank, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.6
On 21 October 1909, at the time of the baptism of their daughter Lucy May PASK, Lily and Frederick lived in 2 Sunny Bank, Forge Hammer, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.7
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Spring Street, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 27 born in Dorset, married 10 years with 6 children 4 living and 2 dead, the wife of Frederick PASK (a Labourer in the Iron Works, living with his wife Lily and their children Willie, Lily, Ellen, and Lucy. Also listed was two Boarders Patsy HIGGINS, and William TAYLOR.)8 She witnessed the marriage of Alice MARSH and her brother Henry John KING on 7 May 1912 in The Register Office, Newport, Monmouthshire.9,10
Her husband, Frederick, died in 1954 in the Pontypool registration district.11
Lily died in 1966 in the Pontypool registration district.12

Henry married Alice MARSH on 7 May 1912 in The Register Office, Newport, Monmouthshire. He was a Bachelor aged 25, an Iron Worker residing at 4 Spring Street, Cwmbran. His father was listed as Jeremiah KING (Deceased), a Farm Labourer. The marriage was witnessed by Fred PASK and Lily PASK.5,6

     Thomas PASK was born on 27 December 1893 in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas PASK and Thirza RIDOUT.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 7 born in Cwmbran, the son of Thomas PASK.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 4 Spring Street, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 18 born in Monmouthshire, the son of Thomas PASK.4
Thomas married Annie MESKILL in September 1920 in the Newport registration district.5,6,3
Annie died on 26 March 1977, at the age of 81, and his death was registered in the Pontypool registration district.3,7

     Ellen PASK was born on 5 April 1896 in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Thomas PASK and Thirza RIDOUT.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 5 born in Cwmbran, the daughter of Thomas PASK.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 4 Spring Street, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 14 born in Monmouthshire, the daughter of Thomas PASK.4
Ellen married Charles J. LOVEGROVE in 1917 in the Newport registration district. There were no known children from the marriage.5
Ellen died in June 1987 in the Newport registration district aged 91.3

William 'Billa' Arthur Pask (1899-1930)

     William Arthur PASK was born in 1899 in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.2,1 He was the son of Thomas PASK and Thirza RIDOUT.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 2 born in Cwmbran, the son of Thomas PASK.2 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 4 Spring Street, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 12 born in Monmouthshire, the son of Thomas PASK.3
William was in a photograph taken circa 1920. The photograph has the name Billa Pask on the back. This was part of the family photos from Barbara and she remembers her mother talking about "Billa". He may well have been William A. PASK who was born about 1899 in Cwmbran the son of Thirza and Thomas PASK and hence a half-brother of John Henry KING, Barbara's grandfather.4
William married Lucy TAYLOR in 1922 in the Newport registration district.5
William died in 1930 in the Newport registration district.6

     Frederick PASK was born in 1879 in Trevethin, Monmouthshire.3,2 He was the son of John PASK and Jane PASK née ?4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 1 The Square, Trevethin, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 1 born in Trevethin, the son of John PASK.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 253 Cardiff Road, Aberdare, Glamorganshire, he was listed as "Fredk", age 11 born in Pontypool, the son of John PASK.4
Frederick married Lily Maria KING, daughter of Jeremiah KING and Thirza RIDOUT, on 24 December 1900 in Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire. He was a Bachelor, aged 21 a Collier residing at 4 Spring Street. His father was listed as John PASK, a Collier. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas PASK (Step-father of the bride), and Alice WATKINS.5,6,7 He was listed as a Coalminer underground, married, aged 21 born in Aberdare Glamorganshire, a Boarder of Thomas PASK in the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire. He was in fact the cousin of Thomas, and recently married to Thomas' stepdaughter Lillie.1

Also listed was two Boarders Patsy HIGGINS, and William TAYLOR.10 He witnessed the marriage of Alice MARSH and his brother-in-law, Henry John KING on 7 May 1912 in The Register Office, Newport, Monmouthshire.11,12 He witnessed the marriage of Franklyn MEREDITH and his daughter, Lucy May PASK, on 21 December 1929 in Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire.13,14
Frederick died in 1954 in the Pontypool registration district.15
His wife, Lily, died in 1966 in the Pontypool registration district.16

     Charles married Ellen PASK, daughter of Thomas PASK and Thirza RIDOUT, in 1917 in the Newport registration district. There were no known children from the marriage.2

     John PASK was born on 25 June 1837 in Thundersley, Essex.1,3,2 He was the son of James Horton PASK and Julia ASPLIN.2
In the census of 7 June 1841 in Daws Heath, Thundersley, Essex, he was listed as aged 3, assumed to be the son of James PASK.3
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hadleigh, Essex, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer aged 13 born in Thundersley, a Lodger of Ann HARVEY, (a widowed Farmer aged 60.)4
John served as an Able Seaman (AB) on HMS Agamemnon and he was awarded the Crimea medal with Sebastopol clasp, together with the Turkish Medal.
He also served in the navy on HMS Highflyer as an Ordinary Seaman (Ships No 72). He was entitled to the Canton 1857 clasp on the China Medal.
He was discharged on 22 September 1858 having completed his apprenticeship (?).5,6,7
John married Sarah Ann CLEMENTS on 27 April 1865 in Southchurch, Essex. He was a Bachelor aged 27, a Seaman residing at Southchurch. His father was listed as James PASK, a Labourer. The marriage was witnessed by Thos ELLISS, and Sarah ELLISS.8,9,10,11
In the census of 2 April 1871 in 10 Grovenor Place, Prittlewell, Essex, John was listed as the Head of Household; a Grocer, living with his wife Sarah, and children Clement, Rosa, and John.8
His wife, Sarah, died in 1880 in the Rochford registration district.12
John was listed as a Widower, aged 44 born in Thundersley, the Head of Household in the census of 3 April 1881 at 40 Overstone Road, Hammersmith, London, a Railway Labourer, living with his children Clements, George, William, John, and Albert. Also living with them was Mary CARRY, an unmarried General Servant.13
John married Agnes DAINES on 22 July 1889 in Southchurch, Essex. He was a Widower aged 52, a Railway Servant residing at 51 Andrew's, Fulham, Middlesex. His father was listed as James PASK, deceased. The marriage was witnessed by Wm. Jas. KEYES, and Arabella BAKER, and Arabella JACKSON.1,14,15
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 1 Dawson Street, Fulham, London, John was listed as aged 53 born in Thundersley, the Head of Household; a Railway Carriage Cleaner, living with his wife Agnes, and adult children Clement, William, John, and Albert.16
In the census of 31 March 1901 in 35 Avenue Terrace, Prittlewell, Essex, he was listed as a retired Railway employee, living with his wife, in the household of his sister-in-law Arabella JACKSON a widow. Also living in the household was Ann DAINES his unmarried sister-in-law.1
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 35 Avenue Terrace, Prittlewell, Essex, he was listed as a Retired Railway Employee, aged 73 born in Thundersley, married 31 years with 6 children - 4 living 2 dead. He was living with his wife Agnes, in the household of his sister-in-law Arabella JACKSON a widow.17
John died on 3 July 1924,at the age of 87, and his death was registered in the Rochford registration district.5,18
John was buried in July 1924 in North Road Cemetery, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, at the age of 87.5,6,19
His obituary published in the Dundee Evening Telegraph on 11 July 1924 read:
A PROUD CRIMEAN VETERAN.
Mr John Pask, of Avenue Terrace, Southend, who when a boy ran away to sea, and later fought with Admiral Lyons on H.M.S. Agamemnon in the Crimea, has died.
When the Fleet visited Southend in 1913 he was recognised by Admiral "Jacky" Fisher, who, when Pask was an ordinary seaman on the Agamemnon, was a midshipman.
Pask was at Sebastopol, and was proud of the medals which the late Queen Victoria pinned on his breast at the conclusion of the campaign


Additionally, another obituary was published on 18 July 1924 in the Chelmsford Chronicle, it read:
John Pask, a Crimean veteran, who was buried at Southend, was seaman on H.M S. Agamemnon when the late Admiral "Jacky" Fisher was a midshipman


Similarily, an obituary in an unknown newspaper, confirmed that he served as an Able Seaman (AB) on HMS Agamemnon, and also served with the Naval Brigade ashore.20,6

     Major Arthur Goldingham PASKE was born on 2 October 1861 in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India.1,4,5,2 He was the son of Major-General William PASKE and Eliza SMALLEY.4,6 He was baptised on 22 October 1861 in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India.5,7,2 In the census of 2 April 1871 in The Grange, Clapham, London, he was listed as "Arther G.", aged 9 born in India, the son of Major-General William PASKE.4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in South Lodge, Norwood, Middlesex, he was listed as aged 19 born in Mussoire India, the son of Major-General William PASKE.8 In the census of 31 March 1901 he was listed in the District Oxford Road Barracks, St. Mary, Berkshire; a Captain in the Infantry, unmarried aged 39 born in the East Indes, a British Subject.1,9
He was named as a beneficiary and an executor in his father's, Major-General William PASKE, will made on 18 June 1905.10
His father's, Major-General William PASKE, estate was probated to him on 10 April 1908 in London.11,10
Arthur married Ada Elizabeth SAWYER on 19 May 1915 in St. John the Evangelist, Ladbrook Gove, Kensington, London.12,13,14
His wife, Ada, died on 10 January 1929 in The Worthing Hospital, Worthing, Sussex.15,16
His brother's, Lieutenant Colonel George Frederick PASKE, estate was probated to him on 3 March 1945 in Llandudno, Monmouthshire.17
Arthur died on 4 December 1954 in Coniston, Eggars Hill, Aldershot, Hampshire, at the age of 93; His death was reported in The Times, it read:
PASKE.-On Dec.4. 1954, peacefully at his home, Coniston, Eggars Hill, Aldershot. Major A.G. PASKE, son of the late Major-General William Paske, in his 94th year.18,6

Arthur was buried on 9 December 1954 in Broadwater Cemetery, Worthing, Sussex, at the age of 93.19
His estate was probated to Arthur William PASKE on 26 March 1955 in London.3

Arthur Goldingham Paske, 2nd son of William Paske, and an elder brother of George Frederick was born on 2 October 1861 and baptised in Missouri, India. He was commissioned into the 3rd Middlesex Militia in February 1881, was a Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers in July 1881 and a Captain in the Reserve in December 1888. He was commissioned into the Royal Berkshire Regiment on 21 December 1889 and was promoted to Lieutenant in July 1892 and Captain in February 1900. He was latterly a Major in the Reserve of Officers and sometime Mayor of Aylesbury. Sold with a silver Cup, inscribed, ‘A. G. Paske, 2nd 1/4 Mile, Ealing, 1880’; a silver napkin ring, inscribed, ‘A. G. Paske, 1885’, and a framed document bearing the Armorial Bearings of Major Arthur Goldingham Paske; also with commission document appointing A. G. Paske as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Middlesex (Royal Westminster) Regiment, and Musketry Certificate, 1888.5,7

In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 19 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 29 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5
Albert was in a photograph taken on 25 December.6,7
Albert was in a photograph taken on 1953 . Chris wrote: "I remember Albert when I was 4 or 5 years old. He would sit on a wall outside his house in Tintern smoking a pipe. He lived next door to my Grandad and Great Grandad, at the Old Globe, Tintern.6,7"
Albert died in 1960 in Chepstow, Monmouthshire.8 Albert was buried on 15 June 1960 in St Michael's Church, Tintern, Monmouthshire.9

George married Elizabeth HOSKINS on 20 January 1896 in The Independent Chapel, Monmouth, Monmouthshire. He was a Wood Cutter, a Bachelor aged 22, residing at Trelleck. In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as "Charley" aged 12 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Waggoner aged 22 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.6 In 1908, at the time of his marriage, Charles was a Haulier in Tintern, Monmouthshire.7 Charles married Rhoda Jane TUCKER, daughter of Charles TUCKER and Ann COOK, on 26 March 1908 in Abersychan Church, Abersychan, Monmouthshire. The marriage was witnessed by Charles and Frances TUCKER.8,9,7 In 1910, at the time of the birth of his daughter Dorothea, Charles was a Colliery Timberman.8
Charles died in 1953 in the Pontypool registration district.10

Research Note: Searched GRO Births 1908 to 1924, however only found two children with mother's maiden name of TUCKER.
