Alun Edward Islwyn PASK

     Alun E. I. PASK was born on 10 September 1937 in Blackwood, Bedwellty, Monmouthshire.1,2 He was the son of David Gwyn PASK and Winifred Dovey BRAY.1

He was capped twenty-six times by Wales between 1961 and 1967, twenty-three times as a flanker and three times as at number eight. He scored two tries for Wales, the first on his international debut and toured South Africa with Wales in 1964. He captained Wales in six internationals and led the side to victory in the 1966 Five Nations Championship. He was selected for the 1962 British Lions tour to South Africa, playing in three of the four internationals against South Africa, and the 1966 British Lions tour to Australia and New Zealand where he played in both tests against Australia and three of the four against New Zealand. He played club rugby for Abertillery.3

Alun married Marilyn J. JAKEWAYS in 1962 in the Caerleon registration district.4
Alun died in a fire at his home, on 2 November 1995, at the age of 58, and his death was registered in the Newport registration district.2,5

David Gwyn PASK was born on 4 December 1910 in Newbridge, Newport, Monmouthshire.2,4,5 He was the son of Sydney PASK and Emily SMITH.6,4
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 4 Meredith Terrace, Newbridge, Newport, Monmouthshire, he was listed as "Gwynne", aged 4 months born in Newbridge Monmouthshire, the son of Sydney PASK.4 David married Winifred Dovey BRAY in 1934 in the Bedwellty, Monmouthshire.7
His wife, Winifred, died on 19 June 1976 in Jersey.1,6,8
At the time of his death, David lived at 7 Albion Terrace, Blackwood, Gwent.9
David died on 8 March 1979, at the age of 68, and his death was registered in the Pontypool registration district.3,6,9
